As part of participating in the Balmoral Cancer swim, I was able to design Arcadia swimwear for the Barracuda team. Working with Budgy Smugglers I used the custom designed swimmer option to create speedos for the men and one pieces for the women. Taking a more minimalist approach, I created the illustration of a barracuda using a scratch brush stroke in order to make the design seem more earthy, evoking the more natural aspect of the Arcadia brand. It was also important to brand both the front and back of the design so that it was always clear for marketing purposes which team we were a part of. Although I designed the swimmers on a navy blue, the swimmers came out a bit lighter than I expected but it was a nice ode to the Arcadia colour palette.
